The frontrunner for NL Rookie of the Year will be taking cuts at the plate during the first inning of this one.
The lineups are out for tonight’s game between the Atlanta Braves and the Milwaukee Brewers, where the Braves are returning home after a decently-long road trip kept them a way for a bit. Unfortunately, Austin Riley is on the IL and so he won’t be batting in what’s become his usual position of third.

Meanwhile, Drake Baldwin has assumed the third spot in the order and will be batting third. While we sadly won’t be getting an opportunity to see what Baldwin could do against Brewers star rookie Jacob Misiorowski, Baldwin could stand to benefit if he continues to stay healthy and produce at the rate that he’s contributed so far this season. Quinn Priester and Milwaukee’s pitching staff won’t be easy to deal with but maybe we’ll see Baldwin and company make something happen at the plate tonight.
The Brewers are taking their sweet time with the lineup, so we’ll leave it here. Tonight’s game is scheduled to start at 7:15 p.m. ET if the weather cooperates. We’ll also have the game thread up for you not too long from now, for reasons that will be explained below.
PROGRAMMING NOTE: With SB Nation going to a new look, we will not be publishing any content this evening and will be returning on Tuesday morning when the new look has officially launched.
