Eli White and Alex Verdugo continue to man the corners

The Braves continue to roll with Alex Verdugo and Eli White in favor of Jarred Kelenic in the corners.

The Braves continue to leave Jarred Kelenic on the bench for the veteran Eli White, as Alex Verdugo continues to man left field. Nick Allen gets another start at shortstop, which has become the norm and Sean Murphy starts at catcher again, as he gets the lion’s share of the starts this season.

The Diamondbacks made a couple of tweaks to their lineup, as Alek Thomas replaces Lourdes Gurriel Jr. in the outfield and Pavin Smith replaces Randal Grichuk at DH. That switch makes sense, going from facing the lefty Sale to the righty Holmes.
