That was definitely a play that happened
They say that every baseball game is unique and you’ll always see something you’ve never before. Well, last night proved that notion.
I just saw something I have never seen in a Major League Baseball game before. Someone just threw a baseball on the field at Oracle Park as Matt Olson was trying to score on a Sean Murphy line out to right #Braves pic.twitter.com/8LvOrhDSDw

I know that people do some crazy things in San Francisco but was that necessary? Do people really to be told not to do that? Matt Olson was going to score anyway, but it definitely distracted Patrick Bailey there. I’m sure that the offending fan was ejected, but if they were a Braves fan, that’s certainly one way to take one for the team.
So should the Braves be inspired to boost the offense in more ways? Maybe have the Freeze run alongside Austin Riley trying to steal a base? Tie the opponents left fielder’s shoes together when he’s not looking? Surely we can come up with some better ideas than multiball.
Seriously, though, don’t throw a ball on the field during a game.
