It’s getting late early
The Braves have been stuck in neutral or worse for decent stretches of the year. They sit eight and a half games behind the Phillies at 25-26. Fangraphs rates their odds at 16.8% to win the division, as of Saturday. So they saying there’s a chance… out of six. The Braves haven’t exactly gotten a lot of good results out of their interesting new offensive 1980s-inspired approach.
So is the NL East going to get away from the Braves? They’re not exactly showing a lot of urgency to chase it right now. The Phillies have reeled off nine in a row. At some point, the Braves are going to need a long winning streak of their own.
