The Braves have brought Jesse Chavez back up for his seventh stint with the team.
Nine teams in 18 seasons, traded to the Atlanta Braves in 2009 for his first appearance with them and is also the most traded player in MLB history… yet, he seems to always find his way back pitching in Truist Park.
Stop me if you’ve heard this more than once, but Jesse Chavez is back with the Braves for his seventh stretch with the club.
The team has optioned Dylan Dodd to Triple-A Gwinnett and moved Spencer Schwellenbach to the 60-day IL list to make room for Chavez in the bullpen.
If you’re familiar with Chavez, then you know that this isn’t just an ordinary call-up. It seems every time Chavez is traded or designated for assignment, his next destination is back with the Braves.
Not to mention that he pitches significantly better when he’s with the team.
Overall, it’s a fun relationship to watch between the pitcher and his constant returns.
