
Atlanta will travel to Milwaukee for Game 1.
The Atlanta Braves are headed back to the postseason after clinching a fourth straight NL East division title with a 5-3 win over the Philadelphia Phillies Thursday night. The Braves will be the third seed in the National League playoffs and will match up against the NL Central division champ Milwaukee Brewers in the Division Series.
The series will be a best-of-five with the first two games held in Milwaukee on Friday, October 8 and Saturday, October 9. After an off day, the series will shift to Atlanta on Monday, October 11 and Tuesday, October 12 if necessary. A potential Game 5 would be held back in Milwaukee on Thursday, October 14. The entire series will be televised on TBS. Game times will be set at a later date once the rest of the playoff field is finalized.
The Braves went 3-3 in six games against the Brewers during the regular season. Atlanta took two of three games in Milwaukee in May and the Brewers returned the favor in late August taking two of three at Truist Park.
