Sean Murphy has been swinging a hot bat of late for the Braves and is hitting sixth Sunday.
Max Fried will take the mound Sunday as the Atlanta Braves try to secure a series win over the New York Yankees. Left-hander Nestor Cortes will get the start for New York.
Sean Murphy and Adam Duvall both return to the lineup for Sunday’s matchup. Murphy had two hits in the opener and has six in his last two contests. Duvall also took a seat Saturday and has been struggling at the plate. Despite those struggles, he has a 160 wRC+ against left-handed pitchers this season so it is no surprise to see him back in there. Ramon Laureano gets another start in right field and will hit eighth.

The Yankees placed Giancarlo Stanton on the injured list prior to Sunday’s game with a strained hamstring. With Stanton out, Aaron Judge will handle DH duties for Sunday’s game. Trent Grisham, who homered Saturday, will get the start in center field and bat ninth.
