The Atlanta Braves make a slight shuffle with today’s lineup after yesterday’s 7-1 victory
The lineups are set in what Atlanta Braves fans hope is a continuation of yesterday’s (7-1) performance against the Milwaukee Brewers.
There was a slight hope that we’d see rookie Drake Baldwin (.853 OPS) return to bat again behind Ronald Acuña Jr. in game two in his hometown, mainly to extend his plate experience and discipline he’s been constantly enhancing throughout the season.
However, it’s not surprising to see that Sean Murphy (.770 OPS) will be taking over the catcher position today, and batting in the bottom of the rotation right before Eli White, whose swiftness and efficiency might make a difference in Alex Verdugo’s prior spot in left field to start.
Here’s what the Braves’ lineup is looking like:

As the Braves’ offense will be facing ground-ball pitcher Quinn Priester for the Brewers, having White start in left field was a solid choice for manager Brian Snitker to produce in today’s lineup.
This is especially after White’s offensive performance yesterday, hitting a two-run 417-ft homer to extend the Braves’ lead (5-1) in the top of the eighth inning, fans could only hope that he picks up where he left off in this matchup against the right-handed pitcher.
Michael Harris II has moved up a spot from six to five on the list, and Austin Riley is behind Acuña Jr. in the top of the order.
The Brewers’ lineup is TBD at the moment.
First pitch is set for 7:40 ET.
