Murphy catches Spencer Schwellenbach in the finale against the Reds.
After a day off on Wednesday, Sean Murphy has returned to the Braves lineup for Thursday night’s series finale against the Cincinnati Reds. Wednesday was just a normal day of rest for Murphy to get Drake Baldwin a few reps, who promptly hit the first pulled home run of his career.
The rest of Atlanta’s lineup largely remains the same with Alex Verdugo leading off, Eli White batting ahead of Michael Harris with lefty Nick Lodolo on the mound, and switch-hitting Ozzie Albies batting fifth.

As for the Reds, they will attempt to salvage a series split with their usual cast of characters. Cincinnati’s lineup has only scored 5 runs in the first three games of the series, a trend Spencer Schwellenbach will look to continue after a couple of rough starts in recent weeks.
