Turns out, it’s a Greek comedy. Sort of.
This is not your usual Battery Power fare. This is not your usual “post from Ivan” fare, either. It does concern the Atlanta Braves but not in a way that you’re used to seeing from this particular website.
Some of you will hate this. Most of you, probably. You’ll be like, “Why did I click on this? The season is already bad enough, and now I’ve wasted 20 seconds of my summer clicking this stupid link.” That’s okay, I’m willing to chance it. I’ve gotten death threats over whether Matt Kemp was good and a cavalcade of angry e-mails regarding Austin Riley’s defense; I can take it. This is for the rest of you — who might find some measure of solace, reprieve, or gallows humor amidst, well, everything.
The content here is probably best viewed in whatever you’d use to view a document. There’s a downloadable link below. That said, I know that “Hey download this thing from this webpage” is in violation of every security training you’ve ever had the misfortune to be required to complete, so I’ve also embedded it on the page, such that you should be able to view it without anything that might put you at risk. (By “you” I mean the hardware or software you’re reading this on. I can’t vouch for your sanity or other aspects of your mental well-being.)
And with that, I’ll just let you get on with it — or x out the browser tab and then hit ctrl+shift+t and then scroll back down to the comments to yell at me. At least it won’t be in my e-mail inbox this time. Again, sorry to some/most, and to the rest — enjoy.
