The second tune-up of spring training for Spencer Strider
Today’s an interesting day for Atlanta Braves spring training baseball for multiple reasons. The first of which is that Spencer Strider is getting the ball once again and it’s always a joy to watch this fella pitch the baseball.
Here’s the lineup for today:
The lineup itself looks very, very likely to be the Opening Day look for the Braves (depending on how you feel about going with Chadwick Tromp over Drake Baldwin right out of the gate.). Additionally, they’ll be seeing a familiar face on the opponent’s mound as well, as the Orioles are sending out Charlie Morton to make his final start before they get their regular season going next week.
Finally, this is the final spring game that the Braves will be playing this year — in Florida. Since the Braves are starting the season on a West Coast swing for once, the Braves are going to get acclimated to being over there by making a guest appearance in the Cactus League in Arizona for the next two days. So this is their swan song from North Port and Florida in general — or at least until they come back to the Sunshine State for regular season action.
Today’s game will be televised on FanDuel Sports South and you can catch the radio feed as well on the flagship of the Atlanta Braves Radio Network, 680 The Fan/93.7 FM.
