Major League Baseball handed down suspensions to Nationals lefty Sean Nolan and manager Dave Martinez Friday. Nolin received a five-game suspension after intentionally hitting Freddie Freeman with a pitch during the first inning of Wednesday’s game. Martinez received a one-game ban which he served Friday night.
Trevor Bauer’s season is officially over after Major League Baseball and the MLBPA agreed to extend his administrative leave through the remainder of the 2021 season.
