Travis d’Arnaud enters the lineup and bats sixth for Braves vs. Tigers

After homering on Sunday, TdA is back in the lineup and hoping to do it again here on Tuesday.

The lineups for tonight’s game between the Atlanta Braves and the Detroit Tigers are out. The home team hasn’t made too many wholesale changes (perhaps owing to the fact that the offense is starting to put it together again) but there’s still enough to discuss before tonight’s game gets underway.

Let’s start off with the Braves:

The only difference between this lineup and last night’s lineup for the Braves is what’s going on in the 6th and 7th spot. Travis d’Arnaud is getting the start at catcher this evening and hitting sixth, while Adam Duvall is moving down to seventh after hitting sixth last night. D’Arnaud went deep against the Rays in his last start on Sunday so he’ll be hoping to pick up where he left off at the plate over the weekend. Other than the catcher and right fielder swapping positions in the order, it’s the same look for the Braves as they had last night.

On the other side of things, here’s how Detroit is lining up:

Wenceel Pérez is making his first appearance in the lineup since Sunday, which is when he went 1-for-4 against the Astros. He also made an appearance as a pinch hitter last night but Joe Jiménez struck him out to end the game. The other two major changes for Detroit’s lineup come at catcher and shortstop — Zack McKinstry is starting at shortstop and batting eighth while Carson Kelly is playing catcher and batting ninth.

Tonight’s game starts at 7:20 P.M. E.T. and can be watched on Bally Sports South and listened to on 680 The Fan/93.7 FM.
