Chadwick Tromp replaced d’Arnaud to start the sixth inning. The Braves don’t have a ton of depth behind the plate at the moment. Sean Murphy has been out since suffering a strained oblique on Opening Day. He is expected to begin a rehab assignment as soon as next week.
d’Arnaud has dealt with four concussions in his career, including one that caused him to miss several games last season.
UPDATE – Travis d’Arnaud passed the initial concussion tests but will be checked out again Saturday.
D’Arnaud diagnosed with head contusion, for now. Snitker said he passed the initial concussion tests, but they’ll check him out again tomorrow before making any decision.
