When will the Braves win another series?

Hey, that was fun

Hey, that was fun. Eventually. I mean, Austin Riley got himself hurt again. And they needed two home runs from Eli White. But the Braves won their first series since visiting the St. Louis Cardinals just before the All-Star Break. You know the series where Austin Riley left in the middle of the game and went on the IL. Anyway, they did it and won a Sunday game to boot. Pretty profitable weekend, almost as profitable as the game itself with 91,032 tickets sold and one night and one day to sell concessions.

So when will the Braves win another series? I guess it could come against the Brewers this week. Arguably the Braves will start two of their best healthy starters with Spencer Strider, Erick Fedde (shudders), and the suddenly fabulous Joey Wentz. But the Brewers run out three 3.50-ERA-or-lower starters, two of which have FIPs under 4. They could lose two versus the Marlins this weekend and still win a series too. And the White Sox come to Atlanta on the 18th. I’m looking for improved individual performances over wins, but I won’t turn my nose up at them.
