They’ve got one more game to make it happen
Through two games, the Braves have outscored the Rockies 14-5, so no superficial problems there. But, here’s a weird thing: they’ve been outhomered, 1-0, in each of those games.
The Braves haven’t had a visit to Coors Field with no homers in a series since 2013. Furthermore, before this current series, they hadn’t even had a game without a homer at Coors Field since 2022. The franchise has homered in exactly 75 percent of the games they’ve played at Coors Field so far, with a multihomer game happening about 43 percent of the time. And then there’s this season.
If you want to see a dinger or two for the Braves, the good news is that Chase Dollander is running an insane rate of 3.72 HR/9 on the back of a HR/FB rate of nearly 30 percent. It’s even more dramatic at home, where he’s given up six homers in nine innings.
