It’s your chance to take the field against the Death Star
Over the past few days, something mildly interesting, or perhaps not interesting at all, happened. After about a week of having MLB’s best record, the Mets gave way to their compatriots in spending big, and their superiors in actually succeeding with that spending: the Dodgers. Due to the way the Padres and Giants started, the Dodgers hadn’t actually been in MLB’s driver’s seat since the first week of April, but now they’re back.
So, it’s a simple question — with the Dodgers now coming to Atlanta to wrap up their season series — will they finish with MLB’s best record, or not?
On “yes” front, you can pretty much point to their roster. On the “no” front, you have a lot of ammo, beyond just taking the field. Their pitching hasn’t been great so far, and it’s been fairly injured already. They’re only sixth by BaseRuns at this point.
