Georgia Tech vs. Louisville – Staff Predictions

Here’s how the FTRS staff thinks Tech will do against Louisville!

Benjamin Tankersley

Georgia Tech wins 31-27.

Georgia Tech is definitely not as good a team as we all thought they were after beating Florida State. But I also am not convinced that Louisville is all that great either. They have played a pretty weak schedule to his point. One thing that could push this game their way though is that they are (by far) much more rested than the Yellow Jackets are. They have gone from Ireland to Atlanta to New York back to Atlanta and now to Louisville. That’s a lot of travel for a month. I really wouldn’t be too surprised to see Louisville win this one, but I’ll stick with Tech for my prediction.

Jack Purdy

Louisville wins 35-27

I know Brent Key’s history is staring me in the face with this prediction. He’s never lost against on the road against a ranked ACC team. All of those wins have major sliding doors moments (except Pitt 2022) that arguably should’ve flipped those games. What Louisville has today that the rest of those don’t have is a more well rounded team. Yeah they haven’t played anybody great yet, and hopefully we’ll be great, but this is easily the least confident I’ve been going into one of these games. I can’t wait for Brent to prove me wrong.
