Burdell91: How much ACC content is/was on Bally Sports South/Southeast? Comcast dropped all the Bally channels effective immediately, and it doesn’t sound like a regular cable/channel dispute; Comcast’s wording sounds pretty final. How might that impact all the things going on (conference revenue, teams suing, etc.)?
Ben: I think this got settled in the comments, but yes, I don’t think Bally had the ACC anymore. Everything is weirdly on the CW.
Logan: I’m not 100% sure because I’m not local anymore but it felt like Tech was mostly on ACC network or CW last year. I think the Bally situation will hurt Braves fans more than GT fans.
Notwima13: What’s your favorite piece of GT swag?
Logan: Currently I have a tiny foam finger that fits on my index finger. Don’t know why but my wife finds it to be adorable when I wave it around on game day. At one point my fraternity had a piece of the goalpost that got torn down when we beat #4 VT in 2009, but I don’t really own that and I’m not sure where it is now.

Hope y’all are doing well today. I’m gonna get right into it with the question this week. This feels like it’s going to be a repeating type question for the next few weeks. The transfer window is closed so I think (still don’t fully understand how it works) that everyone currently on the roster is staying. I know defense was the biggest weakness last year, how are we feeling about the defense after we added some transfers? Do we feel like we might see a decent improvement on the defense from our ranking at 119th nationally last year? Any reason to think the defense is going to help us win against some offenses that seemed to struggle in the ACC at the end of last year, like FSU for example?

Ben: I have absolutely 0 expectations for the defense this year. The whole staff is completely new, so I really have no idea what to expect. I hope that it’s better. It certainly can’t get much worse, so I guess to that end I’m optimistic.
Logan: As Ben points out, the defense can’t really get much worse. I dunno, I’m sure we’ll see who the standouts are this year but we don’t really have any top talent names on the defense. We also don’t really have the NIL money to draw in top talent so I don’t expect any surprise transfers to suddenly come in. I think the defense will come down to coaching this year, on that front Tyler Santucci did impressive things with limited talent at Duke. I’d like us to at least be in the top 100 on defense if we can, time will tell if that is possible.
