Bulldog senior receiver Arian Smith has accepted an invite to the Reese’s Senior Bowl, effectively bookending his career in Athens.

It’s OFFICIAL! WR Arian Smith @ArianSmith2 from @GeorgiaFootball accepted his invite to the 2025 Reese’s Senior Bowl!!! #GoDawgs #BestOfTheBest #TheDraftStartsInMOBILE™️@JimNagy_SB @PaniniAmerica #RatedRookie pic.twitter.com/Iz6wKtluf1

Smith served as a downfield threat for the Bulldogs for five seasons, including making critical plays in the Bulldogs 2021 national title win over Alabama and the 2022 Peach Bowl semifinal victory over Ohio State. But his legacy will always be a bit tarnished for Bulldog fans by a final season which began with the staff saying he needed to be more involved in the offense and ended with commentators frequently bemoaning his frequent, costly drops.

Still, Smith leaves the Classic City having made a significant mark. He led the Dawgs in receiving in 2024 with 817 yards on 48 receptions and added 54 yards on the ground. His 1356 receiving yards for his career is certainly significant, but isn’t near the top of the Bulldog career record books.

We’ll always be left wondering what would have happened if Smith could have stayed healthy more during his first couple of seasons in Athens. As it is all we can do is wish him well in whatever comes next.

Go ‘Dawgs!!!
