Believe it or not, the SEC Championship Game is being televised on CBS this Saturday for the final time.
Prior to kickoff this afternoon, CBS played an incredible video to hype up this matchup between Alabama and Georgia. Legendary broadcaster Verne Lundquist provided the voiceover for the first minute of the video.
“In life and in football, we long to be remembered. We fantasize about leaving a legacy,” Lundquist said. “Since Nick Saban secured his SEC title at Alabama in 2009, the Crimson Tide has become the gold standard in our sport. This year’s team is fighting to reclaim its crown.”
The hype video from CBS ended with Brad Nessler saying, “The best part about memories is they last a lifetime.”

Football fans around the country are raving about this video from CBS, and rightfully so.
This year’s SEC Championship will have major implications on the College Football Playoff.
If Georgia wins, the two-time defending champions will make the CFP. If Alabama wins, however, there’ll be an argument for the Crimson Tide to get in.
