Dawg Sports Wants To Know: Who’s Gonna Fill Their Shoes?

July 4, 2019 by Dawg Sports Leave a Comment

Miraculously, blessedly, we are less than 30 days from the opening of fall college football camps. We’ve begun counting down the players most likely to have a larger impact for the Georgia Bulldogs once things get going. Some of the players on that list are already starters, but are looking to increase their profiles. Others are young players just stepping into the spotlight.

To be sure there are plenty of opportunities to step up. Georgia returns six starters apiece on offense and defense. That’s not an insanely low number, nor is it obscenely high. And there are key players who made critical contributions who will neither literally or metaphorically be walking through that door. Gone are arguably the most dominant defensive back in recent team history in Deandre Baker and the team sack leader, D’Andre Walker. Kirby Smart and Sam Pittman will have to replace Lamont Gaillard, who’s started the last 42 games at center.

That’s to say nothing of the need to fill in for essentially every wide receiver who caught more than a handful of passes. The Red and Black roster is loaded with talent, which is great because we’ve got a lot of talented players to replace. Which brings us to today’s question for the group: Who is the departing player Georgia will miss the most in 2019, and how will he be replaced?

We look forward to your answers regarding who will be the answer at the ‘Dawgs’ positions of need. Until later . . .

Go ‘Dawgs!!!
