The stage is already set for Georgia to play Alabama in this year’s SEC Championship Game.
For the third time since Kirby Smart left Alabama for Georgia, the Crimson Tide and Bulldogs will collide for the conference crown. Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium hosts the title clash on Saturday, Dec. 2.
Three weeks in advance, betting markets released early lines for the SEC Championship Game. As of Monday evening, Georgia is a four-point favorite on DraftKings and FanDuel.
Alabama has a +145 moneyline on DraftKings and +140 moneyline on FanDuel. Neither site has released an over/under line or any other wagers yet.

Anyone going off ESPN Analytics would bet on Alabama. The site projects a 51 percent win probability for the Crimson Tide.
Georgia hasn’t lost since the two foes met in the SEC Championship Game two years ago. The Bulldogs have since captured 27 straight wins and two national titles, the first they won with a 33-18 victory over the Crimson Tide.
Along with a conference championship and bragging rights, their upcoming meeting will hold significant College Football Playoff ramifications.
Georgia has spent the entire season No. 1 in the AP poll, but a loss to Alabama could suddenly put its threepeat quest in jeopardy. Assuming the Bulldogs win their final regular-season games against Tennessee and Georgia Tech, ESPN only gives them a 27 percent chance of receiving a playoff spot if they lose to Nick Saban’s team.
Currently No. 8 in the AP and CFP polls, Alabama’s title hopes hinge entirely on besting Georgia. ESPN gives the Crimson Tide a 92 percent chance of making the playoffs if they win out.
CBS will televise the matchup on Dec. 2 at 4 p.m. ET.
