ESPN Computer Model Predicts Winner Of Clemson vs. Georgia

September 1, 2024 by The Spun

Predicting Every College GameDay Location For The 2024 Season (1:01)

Two of the top programs of the four-team College Football Playoff era square off tomorrow as the Georgia Bulldogs take on the Clemson Tigers.

Georgia saw their attempt at an unprecedented threepeat of national titles thwarted by Alabama in last year’s SEC Championship Game. They went on to win the Orange Bowl in an historic landslide and enter this season as overwhelming favorites to win the national title.

Clemson are coming off their worst season in over a decade and it remains to be seen what they’ll accomplish with so many new faces everywhere on the team. But they’re ranked No. 14 for a reason – not the least of which is the experience and recruiting acumen of head coach Dabo Swinney.

ESPN’s computer model has released its prediction for the game.

ESPN’s computer model believes that Georgia has this game in the bag. The computer model gives the Bulldogs a 82.4-percent chance to win tomorrow’s game.

A win for Georgia would be a good start, but nothing that they can get complacent over with huge games against Alabama and Auburn looming in September.

A win for Clemson would be a massive confidence booster after enduring months and months of doubters.

The game will be played at 12 p.m. EST on ABC and ESPN+.
