After losing the SEC Championship Game to Alabama, two-time defending champion Georgia were snubbed from the College Football Playoff and are instead facing Florida State in the Orange Bowl. One fan made it clear with a sign exactly how they see the game.
During the ESPN broadcast, cameras panned to one Georgia fan with a special sign that said “Excited to See the Proper* Natty” with “Go Dawgs!” written in the corner.
The “proper natty” that the fan is probably referring to is the belief that this game between FSU and Georgia is a true national championship game since Georgia are the defending champions and Florida State are a 13-0 conference champion.
But for the most part fans aren’t buying that narrative.

“If 23 players didn’t sit out. Sure lol,” one user replied to the post from PFF College.
“Lmao,” another fan wrote.
“Not wrong. The cheaters in AA don’t belong,” wrote a third, likely referencing the Michigan sign-stealing scandal.
Georgia fans and FSU fans have a lot to be grumpy about in this Orange Bowl game, but that’s not going to make the outcome any more of a national championship game.
