Lane Kiffin has one of the more unique personalities among college football head coaches.
The Ole Miss leader isn’t afraid to have some fun and let loose, which is apparently what he’s been trying to do in a group chat featuring some current SEC head coaches this week.
According to Kiffin though, Georgia’s Kirby Smart hasn’t been interested in participating leading up to his team’s game against Ole Miss on Saturday.
“I tried to get that (group chat) going on Sunday and this morning,” Kiffin said, via the Clarion-Ledger. “Other people responded. He’s not responded yet on it. I was asking if anybody has advice. I added (Missouri coach Eliah) Drinkwitz so he’s on there. But Kirby didn’t really respond. We haven’t played them before, so maybe he has a rule that during the week of the game, he doesn’t respond to you.”
Kiffin went to say Smart has done an “unbelievable” job at Georgia through a “combination of phenomenal players and phenomenal coaching.”

Georgia and Ole Miss have met 46 times in the past, but not since 2016, Smart’s first season as head coach of the Bulldogs.
That year, he took his team into Oxford, where it was blown out 45-14 by Hugh Freeze’s Rebels.
This time around, Georgia, ranked No. 1 in the AP poll and No. 2 in the College Football Playoff top 25, will host No. 10 Ole Miss at 7 p.m. ET Saturday on ESPN.
