The Georgia Bulldogs are not only going to finish the 2023 season as dominating Orange Bowl champions, but they’re getting back a prized player from the transfer portal.
In an interview with DogsHQ, defensive back Julian Humphrey announced that he would be exiting the NCAA transfer portal and returning to Georgia. He said that he’s confident he can become NFL material with one more year at Georgia under his belt.
“I know with a great year at Georgia, I can get to the NFL,” Humphrey said, via On3. “The more I thought about this, why would I leave Georgia for a couple more bucks? I want to be there, it is Georgia and that is one of the top premier programs in the country.”
Humphrey had 11 tackles and one pass defense in nine games for the Bulldogs this past season. He was a top 100 player in the Class of 2022.

But they ended the season on a high note with an historic 63-3 win over Florida State in the Orange Bowl.
