Good Thursday morning Dawg fans, hope all of you are well especially those affected by Hurricane Helene. Today kicks off the first day of 55 straight days of football, that’s right 55 straight days of football as there will be College Football or NFL everyday until November 27th. We head into this Thursday morning with very few headlines surrounding the Dawgs and the rest of the College Football world, let’s get into it.

Mondon out vs. Auburn

With the Dawgs just two days away from their SEC home opener against the Auburn Tigers, it looks like they will be without another top defender on Saturday. It was recently announced that Smael Mondon has been listed out due to injury against the Tigers. It is not yet known where the injury occurred or the extent of it, but hopefully it’s nothing too serious and Mondon is back on the field soon.

Auburn flips top QB recruit

Hugh Freeze and his Auburn Tigers will go into Saturday with something to be happy about when they play the Dawgs as they landed a solid commitment on Wednesday. Class of 2025 QB recruit, Deuce Knight announced he was flipping his commitment from Notre Dame to the Tigers. Knight is considered a top 5 quarterback in the 2025 class by multiple recruiting sites as he will definitely bring excitement to an underwhelming Auburn QB room.
