Top-50 2027 prospect Kmajay Jenkins chats 3SSB season, recruitment

COUNCIL BLUFFS, IOWA — Class of 2027 four-star prospect Kmajay Jenkins has all the tools to be a successful basketball player at the next level, and he knows it.

“I’m a two-way, three-level scorer,” Jenkins told ZAGSBLOG. “I can rebound. I play the one through four positions. I really can do it all, but I can improve on stuff, too. There’s always things everybody can improve on.”

Jenkins, the 6-foot-6, 180-pound small forward out of Westside High School (SC), has averaged 19.0 points and 5.9 rebounds in eight games with the Atlanta Celtics so far this summer. This includes a 34-point, 13-rebound performance against the Arkansas Hawks during 3SSB Session 2.

As for his recruitment, Jenkins has received offers from Oklahoma State and Clemson. He’s taken visits to Clemson, Georgia, and Georgia Tech but has no other visits currently planned. Here’s how he broke down his recruitment thus far:

Clemson: “As soon as I got there, I felt welcome. It’s 15 minutes away. I like the way — they won every single time I went there. They won.”

What he knows about the system: “A lot of ball movement. A lot of ball movement and pick-and-roll action.”

Georgia: “Every time I went to Georgia, they won too, and they’re only two hours away. They ain’t that far. They got a nice facility.” Assistant coach Antonio Reynolds in contact the most.

Oklahoma State: “I like it a lot. They have a lot of pros like Cade Cunningham, Marcus Smart. I want to play a similar game to Cade, so I love to see what they’re talking about.”

During his search, Jenkins is looking for a program with a strong foundation built by its coach.

“A coach that pushes everybody,” Jenkins said. “Winning. I want to be on a winning team. And a coach that always motivates you, motivates their people.”

Jenkins is hoping to showcase his all-around game this summer.

“I can play at all three levels, and I can play defense,” he said.

Jenkins is ranked the No. 47 overall prospect in the 2027 class by 247Sports. His favorite NBA player is Anthony Edwards.
