Veteran Georgia Cheerleader Going Viral Before Sugar Bowl Thursday

January 5, 2025 by The Spun

Top 5 College Football Cheerleading Squads (1:16)

The Sugar Bowl between Georgia and Notre Dame will be played this Thursday afternoon at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. Although kickoff is still several hours away, a cheerleader for the Bulldogs is already turning heads.

Hailey White, a senior from Carrollton, Georgia, has become the school’s most popular cheerleader over the past few years. She currently has 34,900 followers on Instagram. If ESPN’s cameras spot her during the Sugar Bowl, there’s a good chance her following will grow.

Depending on today’s result, the Sugar Bowl could be the last time White suits up for a Georgia football game. Last month, she posted a heartfelt message regarding her final game at Sanford Stadium.

“WOW I couldn’t have asked for a better last game in this stadium,” she wrote. “Beyond blessed to have 4 years of memories in this place with such an amazing group of people. Forever grateful for this unreal experience.”

Just three days ago, White recapped her “2024 season” with some of her favorite photos. Her slideshow received over 5,800 likes.

When she’s not sharing photos from her adventures away from Georgia, the senior cheerleader is bragging about the Bulldogs’ success on the gridiron.

White would love nothing more than to see Georgia assert its dominance against Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl. However, that won’t be an easy task for Kirby Smart’s squad.

Georgia will be relying on Gunner Stockton at quarterback this afternoon in the Sugar Bowl. That’s because Carson Beck suffered a season-ending elbow injury in the SEC Championship Game.

Stockton replaced Beck in the SEC title game, completing 12-of-16 passes for 71 yards with an interception. It’ll be interesting to see how he performs against Notre Dame’s defense.

Kickoff for the Sugar Bowl is at 4 p.m. ET. Notre Dame is slightly favored in ESPN’s computer model.
