Good morning, Bulldog Nation!

It’s time to wake up and smell the football. First, go listen to the latest episode of Dawg Sports Live discussing opponent win potential, breaking injury news, and more.

After that be sure to subscribe on YouTube and rate it on your favorite podcast purveyor.

Another night, another commitment.

For the second evening in a row Georgia picked up a commitment, this time from three star Grayson lineman Griffin Scroggs.

At this time I would like to announce my commitment to the University of Georgia !! AGTG!#GoDawgs pic.twitter.com/Ygl46UEpld

Scroggs had been committed to Georgia Tech, but recently received a UGA offer when he visited Athens and jumped on it.

I really like what this guy brings to the table, and had sort of been hoping he’d get a Bulldog offer. He’s got the build to play inside in the SEC, already has great strength, and plays with a real nasty streak. Coaches who’ve seen him up close have raved about him. In a lot of ways Scroggs reminds me of former Bulldog and current NFL standout Ben Jones, albeit bigger.

The Dean Machine

And over at DawgNation Mike Griffith has a look at five Bulldogs who need great seasons. I like the selection of Nakobe Dean, who I believe is primed for a career-making season similar to the one Roquan Smith had in 2017. There aren’t a lot of guys with Dean’s physical and mental makeup. If you can move beyond the injuries that hampered him late in 2020 it makes the UGA defense a whole lot more fearsome. Until later…

Go ‘Dawgs!!!
