Why the Glenn Schumann branch has yet to blossom off the Kirby Smart coaching tree

As more and more branches begin to blossom off Kirby Smart’s coaching tree, why is it that his long-time assistant Glenn Schumann is still waiting to get to lead his own team after a decade with the program? What is he missing that other coaches all have?
