Playing cornerback in the NFL is one of the toughest, most thankless jobs, but somebody’s got to do it. The Atlanta Falcons are fortunate to have one of the league’s better cornerbacks in A.J. Terrell.
The team signed the former first-round pick to a four-year extension that keeps him in Atlanta through 2028. Beyond Terrell, though, there are major questions in the secondary that must be answered during the offseason.
Mike Hughes, Dee Alford, Kevin King and Antonio Hamilton will be free agents in March. Considering the Falcons had one of the NFL’s worst passing defenses last season, we expect the cornerback position to be a priority.
