Tight ends have become an integral part of NFL offenses, and the position has continued to evolve in recent years. When the Atlanta Falcons selected Kyle Pitts fourth overall in the 2021 draft, it was the highest pick ever used on a tight end.
Pitts recorded over 1,000 receiving yards in his first season, the most yards by a rookie tight end in the Super Bowl era. However, an MCL injury cut Pitts’ 2022 campaign short, and poor quarterback play hindered his production over the last two seasons.
