As many people predicted, Kirk Cousins is signing with the Atlanta Falcons in free agency.
The veteran quarterback, who is coming off a torn Achilles, is reportedly signing a four-year deal with the Falcons. In six seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, Cousins was a consistent producer, which has many fans and fantasy football aficionados excited about the potential of the Atlanta offense.
The Falcons have plenty of offensive weapons, but have been missing stability at quarterback, which Cousins should provide, as long as he’s healthy.
“Kyle Pitts fantasy owners seeing Cousins is signing with the Falcons,” said one fan, incorporating a GIF of Bernie Mac praising God.
“COUSINS TO THE FALCONS!!! DRAKE LONDON AND KYLE PITTS ARE REBORN,” said one fantasy analyst.
“Hey, we can start drafting Falcons skill players in fantasy again!” added Lakers Nation’s Daniel Starkand.
“If Achilles injuries don’t matter any more (?) then Falcons have the potential to be one of the most fun fantasy offenses in 2024 Bijan, London, Pitts could all be top options at their respective positions,” chimed in fantasy football writer Sam Sherman.
“I’m VERY excited for this Falcons offense from a fantasy perspective,” said the PPR Fantasy Tips account.
Cousins’ deal will reportedly be worth up to $180 million over four seasons, with $100 million guaranteed and a $50 million signing bonus.
