We know who the Falcons will face next season, just not when they’ll face them.
The Atlanta Falcons just wrapped up their 2023 season, a year that started with so much promise and ended up being bitterly disappointing. That means the long offseason is in front of us, with plenty of excitement and anxiety to come.
We don’t know what that offseason will bring, but we do know who the Falcons are set to face in 2024 after the team’s opponents were announced following the season finale against the Saints. Here’s the full list for your review, with a hat tip to 92.9 The Game’s Mike Conti, who posted Minnesota and Seattle as the final opponents a little while ago.
Can update this with all NFC games over:
Falcons 2024 opponents…
Will be home team vs CAR, TB, NO, NYG, DAL, KC, LAC, PIT, SEA
Will be road team vs CAR, TB, NO, PHI, WAS, DEN, LV, MIN https://t.co/Z0eNfwFnhC

Home
Seattle Seahawks
Pittsburgh Steelers
Away
New Orleans Saints
Carolina Panthers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Philadelphia Eagles
Minnesota Vikings
Washington Commanders
Denver Broncos
Las Vegas Raiders
Many things can and will change, but at a glance, this is a tougher group of opponents than the Falcons faced in 2023. That makes their refusal to take advantage of opponent quality even more frustrating. The one positive note is that they will have nine home games versus eight road games.
The most difficult games on the slate right now look like away against the Eagles (assuming they pull out of their recent tailspin next year), at home against the Chiefs, and at home against the Cowboys. Because the Falcons proved incapable of pulling off a winning record against inferior opponents, there will need to be significant upgrades across the roster (and the coaching staff, for that matter) to ensure they can hang with some of the league’s tougher teams in 2024. All that work remains to be done, but let’s hope the Falcons can actually do it this year.
What are your thoughts on this coming season’s opponents?
