After a tremendous season, a beloved player returns.
KhaDarel Hodge has made himself a minor icon for the Atlanta Falcons. After putting together quality seasons on special teams in 2022 and 2023, Hodge took it to another level in 2024 by scoring an amazing, game-winning touchdown against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, forcing and scooping up a punt return fumble for a touchdown, and blocking multiple punts.
That stellar season made him a Pro Bowler, and it also ensured the Falcons were keen to bring him back in 2025. It’s a two-year, $6 million pact, per Ian Rapoport.

Hodge offers more than most fifth receivers in the league, as that’s where he’ll likely slot in again, because he’s tough to bring down and has alarming straight line speed. That ensures he makes a small handful of plays on offense every season, which is an added bonus given his special teams value. He finished with seven receptions for 131 yards and a touchdown last year, as well as seven tackles.
What really makes Hodge great is that relentless, high-end third phase play. Hodge is extremely good at tracking down returners for the tackle, blocking when called upon, and making big plays that come from a mix of veteran savvy and terrific instincts. Last year was a standout season in that regard, but Hodge is a week-to-week asset on special teams regardless, and he should be well worth the contract. We’re certainly glad he’s back.
