The Atlanta Falcons went into the offseason with over $60 million in cap space, using much of the money on the defensive side of the ball. Big-name free agents, including safety Jessie Bates III, DT David Onyemata and DE Calais Campbell, were among the players signed.
The front office orchestrated a trade for former No. 2 overall pick Jeff Okudah, and later selected defensive end Zach Harrison in the third round of the 2023 NFL draft. On paper, Atlanta’s defense has more talent and depth than last season.
