Falcons have NFL’s easiest strength of schedule again in 2024

January 9, 2024 by Falcons Wire

The Atlanta Falcons failed to qualify for the playoffs yet again in 2023, but the team should have a decent chance of ending its six-year postseason drought in 2024.

While the exact order of Atlanta’s 2024 schedule has yet to be revealed, we do know which teams the Falcons will play against next season. For a second consecutive year, it appears that Atlanta will have the easiest strength of schedule in the NFL.

The Falcons are tied with the Saints for the lowest combined opponent winning percentage (.453) in 2024.

2024 Strength of Schedule based on 2023 records

(1 = easiest, 32 = most difficult)

1 #Falcons .453
2 #Saints .453
3 #Bears .467
4 #Panthers .467
5 #Chargers .478
6 #Buccaneers .478
7 #Dolphins .488
8 #Seahawks .488
9 #Cardinals .488
10 #Titans .491
11 #Eagles .491
12 #Colts…

Obviously, this is a number that only accounts for each team’s record the previous season and a lot can change from year to year in the NFL. It’s still a good start for whoever the Falcons hire to be their next head coach.
