The Falcons health report for Wednesday, Sept. 29
We’re officially on to Week 4 as the Atlanta Falcons practiced for the first time this week on Wednesday. The practice report, released only moments ago gives us the outlook on injuries for both the Falcons and their opponent this week, the Washington Football Team.
You can expect to see the practice reports here every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, except for when the Falcons play on Thursday night or have a bye week.

After weeks of relatively good health, the Falcons have some new additions to the injury report on Wednesday. Defensive lineman Marlon Davidson left Sunday’s game against the New York Giants with an ankle injury, and it appears serious enough that it kept him sidelined from Wednesday’s practice. Additionally, wide receiver Russell Gage was absent from another practice, as he continues to deal with a ankle injury which had him inactive this past Sunday. Arthur Smith did call him “day-to-day,” so we’ll see if he suits up this week.
Looking at some good news, corner A.J. Terrell had a full practice on Wednesday. He missed practice all of last week and was inactive against the Giants due to a concussion he sustained in Week 2 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
I have even more good news, as the Falcons opened 21-day practice windows for guard Josh Andrews and corner Kendall Sheffield, who are currently on injured reserve. They can be activated at any point during this window. If they haven’t been added to the 53-man roster by the end of the practice window, they can revert to season-ending IR.
Washington has some injuries of their own. Brandon Scherff, who is regarded as one of the better guards in the league, was absent from Wednesday’s practice as he deals with a chest injury. Also, corner Benjamin St-Juste has entered the concussion protocol after leaving Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills.
We will continue to monitor the injury report throughout the week.
