The Falcons health report for Friday, Sept. 24
It’s finally Friday and the weekend is nearly here. This Sunday, the Atlanta Falcons are flying north to face the New York Giants in an NFC battle of 0-2 teams. We’ve been monitoring the health of both teams throughout the week, and now it’s time for Friday’s practice report, the most important of the week.
You can expect to see the practice reports here every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, except for when the Falcons play on Thursday night or have a bye week. The Friday report will include both team’s injury statuses, giving the best outlook on what to expect for that week’s game.

Not really a surprise, but A.J. Terrell, Russell Gage and Frank Darby have been ruled out for Week 3 against the Giants. All three have been absent from practice this week, as Terrell and Gage both sustained their injuries in last Sunday’s loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Gage is fighting through an ankle injury which was considered “week-to-week” earlier in the week, and Terrell is recovering from a concussion so there’s no set timeline for his return. Darby has yet to suit up this year for the Falcons, and it remains to be seen if he will this season.
For the Giants, there remains some unknowns. Cam Brown is already been ruled out with a hamstring injury, which isn’t surprising since he hasn’t practiced all week. Nate Ebner, Kenny Golladay and Evan Engram are listed as questionable after being limited in Friday’s practice. Speaking with the media, Engram sounded like he was poised to make his season debut against the Falcons. Additionally, both Saquon Barkley and Logan Ryan has no injury designation and are expected to play on Sunday.
We’ll know more on Sunday when game inactives are announced. The Falcons will take on the Giants on September 26, at 1:00 PM ET.
