The Atlanta Falcons signed running back Godwin Igwebuike to their 90-man roster and released kicker Matthew Trickett on Monday morning.
Igwebuike, 28, is a veteran running back who can provide training camp depth and special teams value for the Falcons. For his career, Igwebuike has returned 39 total kickoffs for 1,005 yards on 25.8 yards per attempt.
Atlanta resumed practice Monday after a day off on Sunday. According to ESPN’s Michael Rothstein, the team is without offensive lineman Matt Hennessy.

Hennessy was replaced by rookie Matthew Bergeron on the second day of camp, although head coach Arthur Smith indicated that Hennessy’s injury is nothing to worry about long term.
