The Atlanta Falcons had their first injury scare during Friday’s training camp practice. Left guard Matt Hennessy left the field after going down during an 11-on-11 install on Friday morning.
According to ESPN’s Michael Rothstein, Hennessy was replaced by rookie Matthew Bergeron at left guard.

The Falcons traded up in the second round of the 2023 draft to select Bergeron out of Syracuse, but the team started Hennessy at left guard through the first three camp practices. Head coach Arthur Smith said he wants to keep an open competition.
Falcons defensive lineman Calais Campbell, running back Cordarrelle Patterson, DL Ikenna Enechukwu and DT Eddie Goldman are among those absent from Friday’s practice, per Rothstein.
Not spotted at Falcons practice Friday: DL Calais Campbell (NFI), DL Eddie Goldman, RB Cordarrelle Patterson, DL Ikenna Enechukwu.
Possible they come out later, but have not seen them through individuals.
And with Patterson could be rest. We’ll see post-practice
