If Younghoe Koo can’t kick for the Atlanta Falcons this weekend, the team has found his replacement.
Atlanta announced Thursday it has signed Matthew Wright to the practice squad as an insurance option.
Koo missed practice Wednesday while dealing with a back issue. The Falcons are set to host the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.

Wright, 27, has bounced around the NFL over the last several seasons. He most recently spent training camp with the Carolina Panthers this summer before being released and was also briefly a member of the San Francisco 49ers’ practice squad.
In 23 career regular season games with the Steelers, Jaguars and Chiefs, Wright is 35-of-37 on extra points and 40-of-46 on field goals. He served as Jacksonville’s primary kicker during the 2021 season.
Koo, meanwhile, has made 21-of-22 field goals and 14-of-15 extra points in 2023.
Atlanta (4-6) will meet the 5-5 Saints in a battle for first place in the NFC South at 1 p.m. ET Sunday.
