The Atlanta Falcons are giving the fans more of what they want this season, and that means more red helmets. On Thursday, the team announced it was bringing back red throwback helmets for three games in 2023.
The Falcons will first wear them in Week 2 against the Green Bay Packers, then against the Washington Commanders in Week 6, and one more time against the New Orleans Saints in Week 12.

The Falcons also recently announced that they would be abandoning their red gradient uniforms this season, which the fans didn’t seem to mind. Check out Atlanta’s red helmet release video, via the team’s Twitter account below.
