The Atlanta Falcons (0-1) managed just 10 points in Sunday’s season-opening loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers (1-0). While the defense didn’t have its best day, the offense let the team down most as they couldn’t outscore Steelers kicker Chris Boswell.
Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins was rocky in his team debut, passing for 155 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions for a passer rating of 59.0. Cousins didn’t look all that sturdy in the pocket and made some questionable throws throughout the game. Atlanta’s offensive line struggled to stop Pittsburgh’s pass rush and had no answer for T.J. Watt.
Overall, the team was sloppy and didn’t make enough plays to overcome the scrappy Steelers on Sunday. As you would expect, Falcons fans on Twitter weren’t feeling very good following the team’s 18-10 loss to Arthur Smith and the Steelers.
