After spending 14 seasons as the starting quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons (2008-2021), Matt Ryan was traded to the Indianapolis Colts prior to the 2022 season.
While Ryan’s one-year stint with the Colts didn’t pan out as he would have liked, the former league MVP quickly landed on his feet with a job in the broadcast booth. Although he has not officially retired, Ryan is scheduled to call games for CBS Sports this season.
CBS Sports has announced its game announcers for the 2023 NFL season.

Ryan’s first game in the booth will be in Week 1 when the Vikings host the Buccaneers. In Week 2, Ryan heads to Cincinnati for the Ravens-Bengals game, and he’ll get to cover Bills QB Josh Allen in a Week 3 matchup against the Commanders.
The former Falcons QB served as a member of the CBS pre-game crew during the 2023 NFL playoffs as a guest, but it will be interesting to see how he fares in the booth for a full three-hour game.
