NFL reveals 32 nominees for Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award

November 26, 2024 by Falcons Wire

On Monday, the NFL revealed 32 nominees for the 2024 Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award. Each team nominates one player for the award, which seeks to recognize those who “demonstrate to the world how the game is played with respect and integrity at the highest level of competition.”

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Atlanta Falcons have nominated veteran defensive tackle Grady Jarrett as their 2024 nominee. Jarrett, who’s played his entire 10-year career in Atlanta, certainly meets the criteria

The former fifth-round pick out of Clemson has been one of the few consistent players on this Falcons defense over the last decade. Jarrett has made two Pro Bowls and continues to be a force up front for Atlanta in his 10th season.

Thus far in 2024, the veteran defensive lineman has recorded 36 tackles (19 solo), 2.5 sacks and nine QB hits over 11 games. Check out the full list of Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award nominees below:
