Changes should be coming to the NFC South, especially since the division is once again struggling to field a team with a winning record. That being said, the Falcons aren’t expected to make any drastic moves this offseason.
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Falcons aren’t expected to fire head coach Arthur Smith after this season is over. Of course, things could change depending on how the team’s final four games play out.
“The sense I get after asking around is that Arthur Smith is safe in Atlanta, barring a late-season collapse,” Fowler wrote.
Smith went 7-10 in his first two seasons with the Falcons. He should have a better record once this season is all said and done.

The Falcons are currently tied for first place in the NFC South with a 6-7 record. They recently fell short to the Buccaneers at home.
The remaining schedule for the Falcons features games against the Panthers, Colts, Bears and Saints. If they can finish that stretch with at least a 2-2 record, they’ll be in the mix to win the NFC South.
