Super Bowl LIX is here! Find out what fans from across the NFL think about the matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs.

Super Bowl LIX is here! We here at The Falcoholic hope you all have a wonderful gameday enjoying whatever your favorite method of viewing and/or partying might be.

The game itself is between two heavyweights in the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. Kansas City is going for the first-ever “three peat” in NFL history, while the Eagles are hoping to start a winning streak of their own. This could be one of the most closely matched Super Bowls in recent memory, and has the makings of a great game.

SB Nation Reacts surveyed fans from across the NFL to get their take on what will happen in New Orleans. The game features a tight spread of just 1.5 points according to FanDuel Sportsbook, implying a very close final score. Fans seem to feel the same way, as it’s almost an even split between the Eagles and the Chiefs. A slim 51% majority believe the Eagles will cover, while the other 49% have the Chiefs winning by at least two points.

Fans were also asked what they thought about the over/under for the game, which is currently set at 48.5. That’s typically an above-average scoring game. Given that the game features two of the NFL’s best defenses, it’s a bit surprising that 56% of fans think Super Bowl LIX will smash the over.

I guess when you’ve got the offensive firepower of Philadelphia and Patrick Mahomes on the other sideline…well, it’s not hard to see how things could get out of hand in the scoring department. Me personally, I think the Chiefs cover and the score is actually under. Again, I’m (perhaps foolishly) trusting the defenses to keep things close and Kansas City is the best in the NFL at winning those games.

What do you think about today’s game? Doing anything fun or noteworthy for the Super Bowl?
